Our story
Started with one pot, a market list and a long drive.
Lagos Market began because a Sunday stew shouldn't need a two-hour round trip. We set out to build the grocer we wanted: honest sourcing, proper cold-chain handling and shelves that reflect how African and international kitchens actually cook.

Direct from the source
We work with millers in Ibadan, smokehouses in the Niger Delta and cooperatives in Burkina Faso — most of them for years, all of them paid fairly and on time.
Small, frequent batches
Spices are ground weekly and flours milled to order. We would rather sell out than sit on stock that has lost its aroma.
Cooked before it's listed
Every product is tested in our own kitchen. If it doesn't behave the way a home cook expects, it doesn't go on the shelf.
